Embarrassment to all BMW owners at BLOWNeuroz

People always criticize how far someone goes with their car. For instance, if its with some obscure body kit, paint job, or wheels. One of the worst things anyone can do to their cars are the decals they decide to put on. This goes for BMW's in particular, especially the newer models.

You usually see ricers rolling around with shocker decals slapped on the back, or some VW with on it.

To get to my point.... yesterday I decided to go to the Blowneuroz meet. When first arriving there I noticed many VWs and several e30,e36,e46 m3's.
As a 335i coupe owner I was upset not to see any fellow e92 or even e90 owners... UNTIL my friend and I walked towards the end of the parking lot only to see a black e92 328i. We were both shocked and ... yes embarrassed to see a decal slapped onto the quarter panel window saying " I RUN NEW JERSEY" in a girly chrome finished font. Not only was there one, but sadly TWO... one on each side. To add to the story, the drivers seat was leaned so far back you could only see the headrest. Surprisingly the passenger seat was visible.

I don't understand what makes some individuals take that route in making their cars "look good".

IF THE PERSON WHO OWNS THIS CAR IS READING THIS... YOU CLEARLY KNOW WHO YOU ARE..... PLEASE GET RID OF THE DECALS AND MOVE YOUR SEAT UP AT LEAST A TAD BIT SO PEOPLE CAN SEE THAT SOMEONE IS IN FACT DRIVING.. DONT WORRY NO ONE IS GOING TO BE CATCHING YOU RIDING DIRTY.

I don't really understand the whole sticker and leaning-back-so-that-you're-laying thing, but I think it's up to the owner of the car to do what they want...

its a BMW, not 300k car.. just because our cars have decals on it doesn't mean its a ricer.. even though that specific decal may look retarded, let the person be, its his/her car.. you have no say in what they do to it. and as for the seats, I've seen cars like this all the time at meets/ shows, they just move the seat back...

i guess you had to actually see it to understand. I never said theres anything wrong with decals... e90post , decals of performance parts, etc.

i think a chrome decal that says " I run New jersey" is a little extreme. I've never seen a decal like that on a BMW especially one thats not a hooptie

don't be a hater man - let them do what they wanna do...

they paid for it, if you think it's embarrassing - let them be embarrassed... you have your car and that's what matters...

Can't say that I would like that sticker either, but I really need to see it to feel your pain. But let's keep in mind that him doing stuff like that makes your car that much better.

As for leaning so far back, if he runs N.J. he needs to avoid getting shot.

This is a true statement, i was at the meet and this topic did come up frequently no matter what part of the meet you were in. This kid was a complete tool and your typical dirty jersey "guido." I don't think STi2Three35i is trying to bash him as much as make a statement on "don't put dumb stuff on a car that has a classy title behind it."

Relax. Maybe have some laugh about it. But let him be. It's his car so he can do whatever he wants with it. If what he has done is an "embarassment" as you call it, it's on him and not to you or any group for that matter.

having your opinion is one thing, but until you're making payments to his/her car, i don't think it's your place to say what they should and shouldn't do with their car...

if he's 17, you're probably not too far off...

its true it is his own car and he can do whatever he wants to it. However I can see your point. I mean for most of us here, we work hard and reward ourselves with something nice like a BMW. Its kinda like our reward for being successful.

So when you come along and see a car that clearly looks like it should be a civic its kinda insulting to you. It ruins the name BMW.

You should have asked him how he runs NJ in a serious manner. I'm sure the answer would have been interesting.

I dont think this has anything to do with whos making the payments. I'll be suprised if you have never criticized someones car, the color, wheels, etc.

Maybe its better if i ask the question, why would someone put a decal such as that on a E92...
