Height sensor / adaptive head light sensor?

My car was in an accident some time back, anyway when I was having my front left control arm replaced at firestone, they told me the "height sensor" was damaged and the car would be fine if I didn't want to replace it right then, which I didn't. Anyway I did some research on the "height sensor" and I was told this is the sensor for the adaptive headlights so they would swivel. I put this to the test (I normally don't use the adaptive head lights, I just move the dongle all the way to the left for regular head light function) and enabled my adaptive headlights. The side with the damaged sensor did not swivel at all, the other side did. So now I'm looking for this sensor so I can buy it and have it replaced but I cannot find it anywhere. I tried looking for it with the part number printed on the receipt from firestone which is SU11969, and this part number led me to this part from autozone:
http://www.autozone.com/1/products/3...t-su11969.html

Now, that says its a brake sensor so I'm not sure if that is exactly what I need. I'm just looking for the sensor to get my left adaptive head light feature functioning again. Can anyone offer some input here. Thanks in advance

Brake sensor isn't what you want, that is just for the pads. The headlight aiming sensor attaches to the front control arm.

for the 335i, just as an example.

Ok I see, that diagram is actually a huge help thanks. I should be able to find it easier now. I'll take another look in there and see what all exactly needs to be replaced.

Driver's side control arm gets the headlight aiming rod.
