Best small van??

Hello boys....its been a while since i've been on here but I need some recommendations.

I need to buy a small van like a Combo / Berlingo / Partner etc.

I've been looking at a 1.6 hdi berlingo or partner or a 1.7 cdti combo.

What small van would you suggest. Looking to spend no more than about 4k if i can help it.

Too big.

Thought about the transit connect but they can be thirsty.

Don't get many small vans here in the US...I think the transit is the first small commercial van foray in recent years
