Arrow BMW Produces its 750,000th 3-Series

Munich parent plant produces the 3er in the group with the works in Regensburg, Leipzig and Rosslyn Munich. BMW work Munich produced today the 750.000sten BMW 3er of the current generation, a white 335i. The anniversary vehicle goes to a customer into Mexico. Production start that meanwhile fifth generation of the 3er row was on 1 December 2004. Altogether since then in the works Munich, Regensburg, Leipzig and Rosslyn/South Africa approximately 1.75 million 3er in the variants sedan, Touring, Coupé and Cabrio for the world market were manufactured. The enterprise produced more thereby in the same period of the current 3er generation over 300.000 vehicles than from the predecessor model. This supports the world-wide success of the 3er BMW as a segment leader with middle class vehicles in the Premium segment. The work Munich produces the 3er BMW as Touring and sedan. The daily number of items is on the average with 920 units and can flexibly to the market situation be adapted. A third of the vehicles from Munich goes approximately at customers into America, a further third goes to Asia and a third remains in Europe.

The title should be corrected to say BMW Munich produces its 750,000 car... since altogether BMW produces an insane number of 3ers. They are nice cars and all but goes to show you how main stream they are. My next purchase may not be a BMW because of that one simple reason.

In recent news, the number of BMWNA allocations is being cut substantially...

That's good to know going forward, but if they stopped producing them altogether right now it will still be too many cars.
