Was parked at a biker hangout on a Monday (place is closed Mondays - stopped when I spotted a lone Harley dude in the parking lot). So it's just me and the Harley dude and he's telling me a great story, when a new M5 rolls up and proceeds to do a series of doughnuts, burning up his rubber as he puts on his show. Harley dude thinks M5 guy is trying to be alpha dog. I'm thinking it's more like this;
"I can't believe I'm driving a 507hp V10 M5...gotta tell somebody...wait, there's a custom Harley and a stock M Roadster in the parking lot up ahead...these guys would appreciate it..."

I always thought another BMW revving their engine next to yours was a sign of camaraderie. At least that's always my intentions. I don't think I've ever had an m3 come up next to me and try to "show me up". They usually want to ask about my car.

actually. this similar thing happened to me today.
but it was in a parking lot.
i parked and got out of my car.
this red m3 pulls up next to me and starts to rev his engine
then he just floors it.
and i know there is no way my STOCK 325i can be faster than a m3.
so i was just like. nice car.
