car stuttering and dying after downpipe install p29dc

Hello..I got my downpipes installed today. When I do enjoy it the car felt like it hit a flat wall and stopped. I started driving it again and same problem. Car threw a code p29dc. Think that relates to the fuel pump??? Is my car acting like this because no cats? I'm putting the Cobb stage 2 map n clearing the codes to see if it helps..I just want to make sure it isn't an incorrect do install..what could it be?

I think 29DC is just a cylinder shutdown, which usually follows a misfire to keep things safe. I'd bet your o2 sensors are mixed up. Re-check them.

Yea.. I took it back to the shop.. they checked and 02 sensor are in the correct place...how can my fuel pump give out RIGHT after install????? Is it because down pipes are giving more boost and require more fuel?

Had the same code on the weekend..... Was running e40 and lpfp took a dive which made the hpfp do the same. Got a new lpfp and inline on its way.

Only running E85 will give you this kind of problems in the long run... not after a downpipe change.

at first car threw code p29DC Cylinder injection shut down

then I took it back to the mechanic and had them inspect the downpipe install and everything seemed fine. They then checked it and checked the 02 sensors.. it was fine

I drive home and problem keeps coming back. I switched the tune to the proper cobb map. After, it throws a whole set of new codes

H2FDA
H29DC
H2FCA
H29F2
H2FCA

after driving around some more...... the car threw a new code along with those old codes
p29f2 High-pressure fuel system, fuel pressure

*I then cleared the codes and now after driving for a while only the original code p29DC Cylinder injection shut down shows up

along with p2c77 and p2c78 lambda probe after catalytic converter 2, signal

what gives with all these new codeS?

That's classic 02 sensor fubar. You really need to take it to a performance shop that knows what they're doing because clearly your 02's are either mixed or possibly even damaged.

I took it back to the shop and they checked again to see if the o2 sensors were correct. They seemed to be. They have also installed many other downpipes on the n54 so I dont know

Garage List
Gray o2's on short pipe, black o2's on long pipe.

If a shop doesn't know which order is correct they'll obviously tell you it's correct due to ignorance.

Yesterday morning the car wouldn't crank up fully. My car only threw one code....the one for the HPFP. I cleared the codes and switched it back to the stock map.. same thing... car would start then die down with the HPFP code. I towed it to a dealership so we will see what happens from there.
