HUGE PROBLEM after CIC Emulator Install

I got a CIC emulator, and installed it in my CIC unit. The iDrive unit would play music but the screen wouldn't turn on. I removed it and fixed the wiring and iDrive started back up and everything was working. I came back out to my car and my comfort access wasn't working, nor did my angel eyes turn on when I unlocked the car with the key fob. Comfort access didn't work once again when I tried to start the car, it made me put in my key. After this, my iDrive did not turn on at all, and I got a SOS failure message in the dash cluster. The iDrive buttons light up, the armrest USB port charges my iPhone (not sure if that means the CIC is on and trying to read from it), but there is nothing on the screen and no music. I'm really freaking out here, does anyone have any ideas???

found this thread, they suggested a plethora of fuses to check. I'll have to do that in the morning. If anyone else has any suggestions let me know

Since you installed the emulator and hooked up the wrong wires I would say check out all the fuses one by one to make sure its not blown. The power and ground wires are pretty much impossible to mistaken and red is power and black is ground...WHat wires did you mixed up? Also you need to code the cic unit and change the VO on your car...Have you done that?

The cic retrofit requires coding afterwards..

The emulator gave incorrect instructions and had me hook it up to only pins 9 and 11. I already did coding and had my CIC working (with no navigation) for awhile. I didn't touch the power/ground wires.

Funny thing is, after i removed the emulator, navigation turned on for a bit and i got to use it, but after i turned on the car completely it stopped working.

NCS Expert can't connect to the CIC unit...

I noticed there are no sounds in the car either. Is there any easy way for me to verify that the CIC is where there is a MOST break??

Hi there if you know what your doing get a pin out of the cic connector and a multimeter and start by checking the 12 volt feed to the unit.

The cic unit should start without the most bus being connected up , so you either have a problem with supply voltage or possibly kcan lines.

there is power to the unit (the lights turn on), so i definitely think there is a break in the MOST bus. I haven't even considered the kcan lines...

If you not connected something correctly first time, maybe the emulator got damaged? Or maybe you just have a faulty emulator? Did you contact seller?

Try removing the emulator and see if that fixes everything so we can see where the issue is.
