From IMDB, there are no nationwide release date. Check the small independent cinemas around your neighborhood. I heard there was one in SFV in SoCal was showing a while ago.

This movie was released last year in Brazil. Didn't get a chance to watch it when I was back home, but I'm flying back this Friday and I'm going to try to get my hands on a dvd copy.

I know, but I unlocked my Philips DVD player...now it can play ANY regional code...

I still remember the day he passed away in San Marino, I was watching it live at home when I was a kid... He was/is a National Hero, and Brazil grieved with its loss. Watching all these documentaries reminds me how insane/humane he was. Anyways, tomorrow I'm going on a quest to bring this movie back!

yea man, me too. I grew up in Peru and he was still looked upon as a hero by everyone there. I clearly remember watching that race when i was 12 years old

There have been a couple showings in the US that I know of:

If your in LA Lamelle's showed it for a 2 week run that I sadly missed. If we can get enough ppl together I bet they'll show it again.

It was at Sundance this year if you went and recently at SXSW in Austin.

So far that's it for the U.S.

Update: DVD and Bluray were released today. I purchased the bluray copy for a backstabbing amount of 43 USD. Main reason is that the bluray version has the same region as the US (3 different regions worldwide) as the DVD is region 4 (Latin America). Still haven't found time to watch it and I'm heading back to SD Tuesday. Be jealous folks! Hahaha!

There should be no problem... I have to go to my factory today, which is two hours away from Sao Paulo, but I'll figure something out and send someone to go pick up the extra copy.
