Seems much slower this season. Some good character dev, but not so much action. With 3 episodes left, I hope they make up for it. There are a few things building (eg Red Viper vs Mountain and Mance et co vs the Night's Watch...hope they don't make it a tear jerker) that could definitely do that but we'll see how they get pulled off. 2 weeks until the next up? Fook...

I honestly had no idea that this many people watched GOT for the action. Everyone wants a good battle scene occasionally but this is politics, not Lord of the Rings.

Personally, I watch it for both as I like a good story. GoT, the TV series, has had both good story and great battles/action fairly regularly so it kind of set the bar/pace for itself. While there has been some good story lines and character development so far this season, the less subdued action has dropped off from previous seasons. There are several good story lines going right now so I am anxious for one of them to boil over in G.R.R. fashion.

"The suspense is killing me.". The teasers don't help.

I think the fight scenes need to be choreographed better (or more of them), but beyond that no real complaints.

Well when I watched the S4 previews before the season started they said that this would be the most action packed season yet, action in every episode. I'm not very thrilled with this season so far. Seems like it will be E8 that has all the action much like the last few seasons.

I tend to agree. My coworker thinks there are several big things coming, and he tends to be right. He's read the books, so he's my go-to when it comes to differences between the books and the show. It always seems to fly by though. I almost wish they were doing 12 episodes a season instead of 10. Doesn't feel like they can really convey all they want to into 10 like they did in season 1.
