Best earbuds for running?

Any recommendations for good earbuds to use while running/exercising?

Primary concerns are comfort/stay-puttedness while working out, sweat resistance, and decent sound. Would like to keep it under $100. Do NOT want the type that either go over your head or wrap around the back your head.

TIA.

Ear buds normally fall out of my ears but these stay in. They also sound the best of any I have used. Sound is also higher than with others at the same output level.

I have a set of Shures and liked them until the cord broke. Then I picked up a set of Westone W3's. Yes, more than twice the price but the difference in sound is incredible.

Got a new cord for the Shures and they've been sitting in a bag unused. I just can't go back to them.

The Westones are clear with punchier base and isolate far better. I can easily keep the volume level below 1/2 and hear everything in the music and very little if any ambient noise. Downside is that I can never go back to "cheap" headphones again.

A good set will last you years. Spend the coin and get something you'll really enjoy.

I have these and they've been great on long distant sweaty runs as well as at the gym.

And their price point is good too.

this is what I use in the gym when I work out. I use the extension and have it go around my back inside my shirt.

I think any variant of in-ear should work.

I have also used this cheap one that has a wire that you can bend around your ear.

and if you want to refine the fitting, buy one of these tips.

I upgraded from the Shure SE215 to the 315s and love them. They're an earbud design with an "over the ear chord" so they'll never move once you put them in.

i just ordered 2 more sets of the Sony MDR-EX51's...first set i wore out in the shop i work at which has lots of steel and severed the wire...then the 2nd pair just got filty and I am currently using those but as my desk headphone if I need to hear something. I have used them at the gym with no issues of falling out...been on runs with them without them slipping at all...and I think they have amazing sound while blocking outside noises out...BEST part is, i just bought 2 sets for $12.95 each

These are not for running but was wondering if anyone had any experience with the logitech UE900 or the Sony XBA-4i?

So I'll contribute to this thread as this is an issue i had for a long time. I find that ear-buds with some sort of ear clip work best for me.

I started out with Monster iSport:
http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/...EL._SY300_.jpg

The sound quality was excellent but after about 4 months of usage the rubber base of the clip started to tear. You can only glue it so many times..... The issue it that the clips are too rigid and this eventually causes the rubber base to eventually start to rip with use.

I moved on to the Bose SIE2i:
https://a248.e.akamai.net/pix.crutch...iO-o_hr14.jpeg

They don't have the isolation but the bass is still great. The clip is soft and attaches in two places. Very comfortable and stay just as well at the Monsters. Also a little more comfortable as they don't sit so tight in your ear canal.

That's like comparing a Civic to, well, an M3.

Anyone that spends $75k on a car is getting ripped off too I guess.

I've had Bose and these $5 ones. Sound quality isn't quite Bose quality, but they are fantastic for 5% of the Bose branding premium. Do you see the 3400 5-star reviews? Yeah, they're there for a reason.

Update: picked a pair of Adidas MX680 ear buds at best buy. Made with Sennheiser technology, so that's a plus. First reaction is generally positive. Lots of sizing options to ensure a proper and comfortable fit. Sounds quality is quite good, and much better than OEM Apple earbuds.
Only annoyance is that it comes with a short cord and a second, longer extension. Great concept, except the shorter cord is just a bit too short unless you are under 5'8". I'm 6' tall and generally clip my nano to the waistband of my short and run the cord under my shirt and up. In this setup the cord is about 2" too short for a proper setup. Having to add the long extension then gives me s ton of extra cord that I need to tuck somewhere. That, or I need to experiment with alternate locations for my nano.
