Places you traveled to in the world

I know that I am new to the forum in all. But I was just curious to see how many of you all have traveled, and what did you learn from your experiences.

The places I have traveled to are:
1. Germany
2.Spain
3.Italy
4.France
5.Holland
6. S.Korea

So guys feel free to chime in on the subject. I have the travel bug this summer and I am dying to go to some new places in the world. Because I have about 2 weeks of vacation time and have no idea where to go at the moment. The current budget that I willing to spend on the trip is about 3k.

China was probably the best of my "informative" type vacations if that makes any sense. It's not like taking the informative tour of Paris where after a few days you're just like "ok whatever, another old building"...it's just so different and crazy you'll never loose interest. I also did a 3 day cruise on the Yellow (Yangzee or something) River and that was really cool to. The only thing I regret is not making it to Hong Kong while I was over there, bc the flight is really a bitch

All of the cities are different and definitely worth a visit. I stayed in a couple others (spend 3 weeks there) but those 3 are the major ones. If I were to go back and could only choose 1, it would be Shanghai. It was a really cool mix of modern capitalism (weird to say about a communist country, right?) and Chinese traditionalism. And the seafood was awesome (in Shanghai), but overall don't expect wonders from the food...I honestly prefer American Chinese food better and I don't really even like that very much...Chicks will be on your shit though. The St. Regis in Shanghai is amazing

Yea I know tell me about it going to korea was like 14 1/2 hrs. Talk about fucking tired on arrival, not the mention the jet lag also. But was it so busy there in China? Because in korea I felt so lost I couldn't speak the language and I was all alone in the city of Seoul trying to find my way around. Next time I might hire a travel guide to make my life easier.

I know what you mean about being lost - it's one thing not knowing the language...it's another when the letters are different as well.

I had a guide and not only was she totally helpful but pretty cute but she was like 28. However, I felt ok walking around China not knowing the language, yes it was busy but it's not like I was using public transportation either. Me and my sister ventured into Chinatown in Shanghai (ironic, right?) and were totally fine...I'd only imagine it's gotten better since (this was 2005)

I'm from England and I used to have a company which organized tours for football fans wanting to see European away games hence all the European countries.

From all these places my favourite city has to be Barcelona, if you ever get the chance you must visit.

Wow thanks for your input BTM. BTW why didnt you pick up the tour guide girl I am sure she probabily wanted you bad lol. In Korea girls would try to conversate with me and I couldn't understand a dam word they were saying. Needless to say I managed to get past the language barrier and successfully convinced some of them to have a good time with me.

Swisse was the shit. Geneva is probably one of the most beautiful cities I've ever been to.

Where I've been:

US
Every city that has a Major League Ball park (Yep, I've seen a game at em all!)
A bunch of other places, you name it, I've probably been there
Toronto
Montreal (Baseball games at both)
Mexico- Nogales and Puerto Vallarta
All Over Alaska

Europe

England
France a couple of times
Monaco <Awesome
Spain & Majorca/Minorca
Italy & Sicily
Greece & Crete
Switzerland
Belgium

Going to Aruba this summer
Germany, maybe Northern Switzerland or N. Italy summer after, who knows. I have a cousin working in Shanghi so I'd like to go there and Singapore. I would like to study abroad in Spain eventually (I speak a lot of Spanish) in the South since I manly was in N. Spain, around Barcelona.

Barcelona is also one of the best places I've visited. The people, the culture, and it was just stunningly beautiful. I even a jersey barrier (or the spanish equivilent) that said "Freedom for Catalonia" on it!

Oh, wait, here it is! And some other random pics.

I'll see if I can't find some from Geneve
