Ever heard of Rudy Project Sunglasses?

I first saw them in the PX catalog when I was deployed to Iraq in 05. That is when I bought my first pair, Silver/Blue Rydons.

Yesterday I lost them but they were showing thier age. I went to e rudy.com to see about buying a new one and I found the one I like. It was another $170 for the sunglasses but based on experiance I saw it as money well spent.

Upon checking out, I saw a space for a VIP/promo code. Me wanting to save money, I googled it and I found GOLD!!! 40% OFF!!!!!!!!!!

My $170 glasses are now $102

You must work for Rudy Project huh? Yes, I've heard of them. They make pretty cool sunglasses and helmuts for serious athletes, but they're pricey.

Work for them, no. US Army here.

I agree they are a bit pricy but I think they are worth it. I thought that I should pass this 40% savings onto the board for helping me so much.

Rudy projects are nice. 40% off....very nice indeed!! Personally...I use Oakley.

My main use is for cycling. I have borrowed a friend's Rudys--they were for triathlons...not sure of the model. They were good overall. Nice lens, etc.

My main issue...still have a problem with fogging up and water marks--at least during cycling.

I now use Oakley Radar. Excellent lens. Its hydrophobic, and has not fogged up on me.

Also pricey, but all good cycling products are.

I have a pair of prescription Rudys, and they are great. I was looking for a prescriptionable wrap around and they were one of the few who could do it.

Never heard of it.

Looked at their sunglasses product line and it just looks like another Oakley'ish brand. Not a fan.

Never heard of them. I'm about to pick up a pair of Tom Ford with 30% off.

I think the drugstore sunglasses may be a better value.

Really? OK, I'll send you my prescription, you find me a set of drugstore sunglasses that match and I'll happily buy them. Oh yeah I'd prefer them to have some wrap around for when I'm on my bike or skiing.

Their technology isn't really the frames it's the various lenses that you can interchange based on what conditions you are in. They are very specialized and I highly doubt you'd find anything similar in a drug store.

I'm just ridiculing the vast majority of people who would use them for everyday, non-specialized purposes, to make themselves look and feel more important.
