Looks like a Holden Caprice (with different exhaust tips).

I'd agree with that. I figured it was a GM Zeta platform; I had to stop my search last night when I got a call.

Vectra is much smaller (and we have zillions of them 'round here so I could easily tell the difference).

The SS has different exhaust pipes.

And an older guy in a suit was driving it - not the typical customer for modded cars.

Not sure if I get what you're asking, but they are pretty much rebadged versions of other product. And they do recycle names from the US and elsewhere. For instance, the Holden Commodore in Australia is the Pontiac G8 in the US and the Chevy Lumina in the Middle East; the Opel Astra in Europe is the Saturn Aura (4-door) and the Saturn Astra (hatchback) here and the Holden Astra in Australia; the old Pontiac GTO was a rebadged Holden Monaro. Vauxhall also uses a lot of rebadged vehicles in this manner.

For info on the Zeta platform and the vehicles using it, go here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/GM_Zeta_platform

I looked at the Holden site also. I think you're correct, Holden Caprice.

That HSV Grange (started life as a Holden Caprice) in the picture would last waste to your 330. Call it a POS but the HSV cars are the same as the "M" to BMW. Very, very nice automobile.

It's packing a 6.2 liter LS3 making at least 430 horse, if not more.

Here you go:

Here's the car that would slap the M5 around like a red-headed step child.
http://www.hsv.com.au/w427/

7 liter LS7 and 15 inch brakes . . . Ouch.

And you are basing that statement on what? I didn't see any performance specs on that website. Or maybe you have driven this car and the M5. It looks like a pretty badass car though.

I just found a review of the car on edmunds, I attached it below. It doesn't sound like it would slap an M5 around in any way. But it definitley sounds like a very fun car, I wish we got them here.

They will most likely have a comparo on it or may compare it with the V8 M3. They usually do. Dry sump 7.0 liter V8, 15 inch, 2 piece rotors, 6 piston brakes, magnetic ride like the new ZR1 Vette. This car is carrying a big stick!
