F1 first race at night...

New track, no track history data, and night atmosphere are combinations for lots of chaos...

yeah that refuelling incident was a major fail. There will be no partying tonight in the Ferrari camp.

I read from Planet-F1.com forums:

Quote:
- Couple of litres of high-octane fuel spilled: 10 EUR
- Release of car onto the path of another in the pitlane: 10000 EUR (when Mad Max feels generous)
- Half a dozen Ferrari mechanics carrying a fuel hose on their shoulders down the pitlane: PRICELESS

Even tho I'm rooting for Hamilton and BMW Sauber....but its sad to see a great team of Scuderia Ferrari fail so miserably tonight like this....fatal pit stop that might going to cost Massa's world champion....

and Raikkonen just hit the curb at turn 10 and pretty much flew into the wall....

action packed race...and good to see there's a few overtakes which is very hard on street circuits like this...get rid of Valencia and bring something more like Singapore.....

Good for Alonso, although I'm not particularly a fan,... too bad for Ferrari, Massa was doing great!, I think his might cause him to loose the championship, and that would be a shame!, Raikkonen incident was purely bad driving at the time, he missed the turn and that was it,.... I think we will be seeing some other night races in the years to come, this was a very spectacular race, and that means money, to Mr. Ecclestone that's the meaning of F1 so,...

agree...even tho not a big fan of Alonso.....but good to see everything worked out despite the Renault just gave up during qualifying....

wat was ferrari doing....they were the move inconsistant team this season....sort of....so many amatuar mistakes....
twice engine blow, injured at least two pit crew members...
twice unsafe pit release
fuel hose ripped off, and Raikkonen almost did as well in Valencia....
unstable F2008 under the rain, Kimi crashed....

Huge thumbs up for Alonso! He is an excellent driver with real raw talent that has had to deal with a shitty chassis and limited resources (when compared to SF and Merc). He deserved every ounce of this win...

Also Nico Rosberg (despite he looks like a girl)....an awesome driving right after the SC is out.....the engineer told him to get around 15 sec gap to serve the stop-and-go penalty....he pushed and pushed and after the penalty...he's on 4th!!!
that was some piece of driving...
