Hey, thats reality. Why should people pay more for less? What makes ACS so special that they think they can charge 3-4 times as much as BMS? Its the same bullshit with Hamann, Lorinser, Mansory and most of the other German tuners. Dinan I can understand, as they have the warranty. The rest of them, its pure ego.

Drop-in AFE filter is working a treat, no codes etc. As it the dry type, no risk to MAF getting any build-up of air filter oil.......Am into more discrete mods so its not shouty but it feels effective.

Don't care either way. They're all rip offs. I'll happily stick with my American parts, sold at a fair price. |

Of course you havenīt, your from Murrica . Anyway, the last part we can agree on, they are indeed rip offs and no matter what warranty they say they offer BMW does not back any one up if shit went south. Just cause local dealers are happy to install them for their clients, doesnt mean BMW approves. Cause they donīt. They have the PPKs, since they are the only ones that have access to the ECU and donīt have to fool inputs/outputs to create some sort of power bump. But if you want to go 3rd party, theyīre all as good/bad so donīt be fooled by the brand and some fake warranty-promise.

The one on the ACS Site is a marketing chart. No OEM car will ever have the "306PS" as promissed. Some will habe 315 and others only 280. The interesting point for me is, if the +54 are garanteed. Many tuners promise a 360+ HP tune because they know that most customers dont feel the difference between a 340 and a 360 HP car. But if I invest 3000 i want to know what I am paying for. There is a german guy called hossi who tested the Performance of his M135i with and without the ACS Piggyback. ( http://www.1erforum.de/bmw-m135i-m23...os-158446.html ) Videos, Dyno-Charts etc. you can find under the link. But I am goint to explain you some of his results. Because this is a comparison with the JB4 here i will give you the numbers in wheel PS (they are minimal higher than your US wheel HP - But in my opinion you can compare them) (The Source of this dyno Chart is Hossi - Thank you for sharing your information) Stock M135i: 298 wPS / 485 Nm Torque (= 357 ft-lbs) ACS M135i: 340 wPS / 540 Nm Torque (= 397 ft-lbs) Gains: +42 wPS / +55 Nm (= +40 ft-lbs) You can compare this to the M235i dyno chart on burgertuning.com Stock M235i:295hp/ 330ft-lbs (= 448,8 Nm) JB Stage 1 M235i: 323 wHP / 365 ft-lbs (= 496,4 Nm) Gains: +28 wHP / +35 ft-lbs (= 48 Nm) Comparison between ACS with JBS1: ACS M135i: 340 wPS / 540 Nm Torque (= 397ft-lbs) JB Stage 1 M235i: 323 wHP / 496 Nm Torque (= 365 ft-lbs) The ACS Box increases +17wHP and +44 NM / +32 ft-lbs over the JB Stage 1 But for 1850 less than the ACS the JBS1 still does a good job |
