Nice! Wish BMW would have included a Porsche Boxster-911 type of light under the trunk liner, would have made it all so simple

When you lift the lower trunk lid, it covers the dome and you see nothing.

One way to solve it (I did it also in the E92)

Jazza,

Was thinking about the same problem in the trunk. Did you get an LED strip and run the wire to the original trunk LED?

Here's an LED strip, I am considering; would appreciate your thoughts

Thank you very much

Yes, you just have to connect in parallel to the wiring of the original LED

Jazza,

What I had in mind was to tap into the wires connecting the existing light and mount one of those LED strips that put out about 400-500 lumens on 6-8 watts.

Is that what you are describing?

BTW, is there a simple way to tell which wire is positive?

Thank you very much

The lights I've replaced thus far have all been plug and play. It's taking me longer to type this out than to replace one of the footwell lights.

All you need is a flat head screwdriver or anything that would make it easy for you to pry them out. Simple plug n play.

I maybe interested in just doing trunk led, sunvisor open lights and dim white led at the bottom of each door( to match welcome light)
Could you give me a link on what/where to purchase the item?

Yes, that's exactly

No matter know what the positive is. If LED stripe not lit, change the polarity of the cable

Regarding the links, I bought them in a Spanish web, but I've seen the same LEDs in many other webs.
The most difficult to find are those of the vanity mirror. I've Only seen here:

Yes, "little bit" expensive

Door lights 24.75€ (27$) but in an European web. I see that, for example, at Burger Mortsport cost 49$ and I think are exactly the same ....
