Telsa Crash in Hollywood makes 4th of July explosions.

Anyone see the news on the stolen Tesla that got ripped in half, caught fire and caused explosions from battery cell ruptures? Guess it was going over a 100 when it wrecked.

Perhaps, if only our current "market" wasn't a Fed fueled joke that was actually based on fundamentals. I say a Tesla blowing up and catching fire is BULLISH!

How pissed would you be if you stole a Tesla and the battery was at 5%.

Wouldn't a gasoline powered car be in a similar state after an impact like this?

The car is named after a rock band and a dude who invented AC power and was rumored to be able to know how to split the earth in half with energy...what did people expect would happen?

+1..... That car split in two......a reg car would quite possibly caught on fire also. Tesla has been getting some bad press lately.....but all of them seem to be under some circumstance.

Lithium polymer batteries are all small bombs waiting to go off. All they need is a small hole and exposure to air or water.

There are other forms of lithium batteries, like LiFe, and A123, that don't blow up as easily.

As great as the Tesla is/has been, all this news reminds me of the old Ford Pinto fire controversy. Forgive me for using Tesla and Pinto in the same sentence haha

Nah. You only get 20 miles of range after charging the car for an HOUR. In less than a few minutes I can put enough fuel in a stolen gasoline car to get the FOOK OUT of there...
