Go on eBay and find a oem apple iPhone battery. Then go on YouTube and find a DIY guide. It is really easy....

True but the dilemma lies that 5.02 will be released soon & the signing window for 5.01 will be a few hours when it's released. I want the unlock and MuscleNerd stated it can be done on 1.0.11 BB and maybe 1.0.13 that comes with the 5.01 iOS. Supposedly, the jailbreak for the 4S will be for 5.01 only. Dunno what to do but I want the unlock. Gonna gamble and not update to 5.01 until I hear confirmation from the devs.

yea, think the best way to do it is to wait and see what happens. hopefully apple doesn't release 5.0.2 or 5.1 anytime soon or I guess the waiting continues. best case scenario would be apple releases but the exploit still works

ehh... i would not go that far.

As someone who has been jailbreaking iphones since 3G came out, i can tell you that you WILL have random-ass bugs, crashes and slowdowns if you use shit from Cydia, but if you just get Installous and install cracked app store apps, you should be OK.

True, but that can happen with legit apps too. I've had app store apps crash/stall my phone before.

If the Cydia apps gives you issues, just uninstall them.

I had an issue in iPhone4/4.3.5 where suspended apps would leak memory and closing 2-3 apps at a time would completely lock up my phone for 3-5 minutes or just reboot the phone. i fought with that issue for months. tried everything. restore, restore and setup as a new phone, remove every single cydia app.... you name it.

Turned out to be something MobileSubstrate related (which you can't really uninstall/reinstall, unless you dont want your JB anymore). When iOS5 came out and people started getting tethered JB and updating their apps to work with iOS 5, MobileSubstate update came out first and the locking-up/crashing issue and memory leaks completely went away.
