LOL I don't think anyone's surprised...maybe now someone in broadcasting who's been working hard, not fucking up their life and deserves a shot will get it over a wanna be "feel good" story that ended about as you would expect it to

What did he do? Get into a argument with is daughter? I'm pretty sure we've all fought with our parents/kids at some point. The only reason he is entering rehab is because that d-bag Dr. Phil convinced him he should go. There is no mention of him turning back to drugs since his fame started, so I don't understand the point.

"He admitted he was not as sober as he claimed to be and that he was ready to get help," a show insider told the Daily News.

His 29-year-old daughter, Janey Williams, said her dad's been drinking "at least a bottle of Grey Goose a night."

Gee, why does Dr Phil need to insert himself into this guy's life. I bet this guy would have been fine until Dr Phil started to plant ideals that his life was still a mess. Dr Phil's approach is this, the person says they are fine, Phil says no your not, the person said I am fine things are going well, Phil say, no it not you have all sort of problem you are denying and the battle going on from there until he bets you down and you believe what he is staying.

Amyway, did anyone think Ted was clean because he had no money, someone wrote him a pay check and now he can pay for his habit again.

Hopefully he gets the help he needs. If anything, this fame whether it was too much at one time got him real help for once. Hopefully he improves his life after this.

Not gonna lie. There is a reason this is a big story. I realize it is a feel good story, and the guy had the opportunity to turn his life around. But honestly, is he more qualified, talented, or deserving of what he has been given than someone who has worked hard all their life and didn't piss away their talents? This is a flash in the pan.

It's not why I posted it at all. We laugh and make jokes about peoples misfortune everyday. This bum is no different.

I have friends who have been slaving away the past 8 years trying to work their way up through different radio stations / tv networks. And this guy gets the keys to the kingdom? Fuck that.

If this story would have ended up differently I would have said congratulations on overcoming your problems and it would have been a great story. But instead... well I don't need to explain what happened. Read for yourself.

I don't think anyone is necessarily happy about it. He had been previously successful and blew it. I've never been homeless, but I would think that it's not just an "out of no where" thing - it takes repeated poor judgement calls to literally end up on the street. He got another shot thanks to media disbursement in this country, and immediately screwed it up.

Here's to hoping these opportunities aren't squandered again and offered to those in the industry who have been working hard instead of randomly becoming a youtube sensation.

I don't know why, but we seem to have their number. We do well against them whenever they are ranked number 1.

Exactly what I was going to say.

He's still off the streets and all this publicity possibly will get him the help he needs. It's a new year, how about some positivity?

I haven't watched Dr. Phil or heard whatever interviews there were. But I am rooting for him. People can change. But it is exceedingly rare for change to happen immediately. With the recognition he has been given, and his basic talent, he could do well.

He has to overcome his demons. As he is approaching that with help, maybe he has a better chance. Probably a better chance than if he never got this break.

On the flip side: Winners of multi-million dollar lotteries sometimes end up in much worse shape than before they bought their winning ticket.
