But still cars compared to the US (also applies in Europe and Asia) are so expensive! What I always find funny is the Pontiac G8 GT, which is the Holden Commodore SS in Australia, is designed and built here and sent across the globe to the US in smaller quantities than it is sold here and at $30K US it sells for $10K US LESS in the US than it does here in its home market! Its Crazy. You guys have it so lucky with car prices. |

So, if my calculations are right, a 2009 BMW M3 Coupe with ZTP, ZPP, M-DCT, power rear sushade, metallic paint, iPod/USB, and smartphone integration should be around $65,360USD.
Thats almost $5,000USD less than current MSRP! |

I'm confused???
On the first page the base price is listed at $52,900, on the second page the base price is $57,500. Which is it? What's the difference between page #1 & #2? Thanks for the post! This is precisely the information that I've been waiting for! |

Thanks for the info, now I need to develop my bargining strategy. I'm not looking THE killer deal just a fair price. I plan on working with dealers through emails at first then weed out which ones will be willing to take my business.

The ultimate dealer cost may very due to incentives, blah, blah, blah. What this means to you is, the dealer is more then likely making plenty of money even selling you the car at invoice. Might be wrong but I don't think so If they will sell it to you that cheap is another thing. They have to pay for that big Blue and White building some how. LOL I wanted to add to the story about my last car deal, just food for thought. When I bought my last big buck car, The MSRP was about $129.500, I received about 6k off msrp. ( the car at the time of sale was bringing over sticker as the new model had just come out) I thought I got the deal of a lifetime. About 6 month's later I was shooting the shit with my C/A when he came right out and told me because of many factors and back end money, the dealership made over $ 10.000.00 on the deal even giving me the discount. I just about took a dump on the showroom floor. I cannot say for sure, but I was told (Hearsay) that there can be up to a 14% profit margin to work with on a BMW. Depends on the dealer, region, ect, ect. His analogy was, their entitled to make that kind of money because they have a huge business to run. Last edited by Captain Scott; 08-29-2008 at 04:27 PM.. M3 coupe invoice prices in Canada
Hi Everybody,
My lease on my 330 ended and I wanna get an M3 coupe, my first M and I'm so excited! I live in Toronto, Canada, so I was wondering if anybody on here has the invoice prices for the Canadian market. The MSRP here is $71,300! compare it with $57,500 in the US!!! even with the sliding CD$ against US$ it's still a lot more expensive and worse we don't get any of the %0.9 or %1.9 rates on the M3s! Or for instance the DCT goes for $3900 as opposed to $2900 down in the US! Colorwise I'm torn between JzB and SG, haven't seen LB in flesh though....... Appreciate your inputs, Last edited by TheOne; 10-21-2008 at 09:48 PM.. |

OK guys I called Car Help Canada, a non-profit consumer protection organization to help people with their automotive needs, Yes! we do have things like that here!
And they can get a fixed, haggle free deal for me from a BMW dealer, it's basically 5% off of MSRP, but I still think I can get a better deal if I have the invoice price and negotiate up from that point. Has any one ever used www.carcostcanada.com I can purchase the invoice prices from them I guess for $39, but I'd like to know if they're worth it 'cause in the past spent money on some of 'em and they turned out to be junk! |
