Someone tried to break in my vehicle

I just found out today from my girlfriend that someone tried to break in into my vehicle (E92 328i). he couldn't get in though but I'm just really mad now!!!

Do you think the door handle can be replaced directly? how much will it cost me roughly if anyone knows. Thanks for the help guys, I appreciate it.

Ouch, i'm thinking you should just do it through ICBC as it will most likely be more than the $300 deductible.

Hi Zeeman,
May I know which bodyshop you had yours fixed? I'm guessing that it won't cost that much since I'll just replace the door handle cap and remove that lock. Thank you.

they guy stole a plasma tv as well from the building. And if you see the camera, he is going into the parking lot towards my car. I've been living in this place for 2 years, and nothing ever happened. this guy does not live in this building.

Sorry dude.

The good thing is that if he didn't get in BMW must have updated the door lock design. It was very easy to get in the e46's by popping the lock.

True. I can only think that this guy is brainless. He must have watched some old style grand theft auto movies and found inspiration from there. Judging from the picture, he used all muscles with no brain to try to pop out my lock. If this was a civic, it would vanish (I guess).

Burrard Autostrasse. They're at 6th & Pine in Vancouver, just behind the BMW Store's service centre

They're typically drug addicts that will literally beak into a car for loose change or to rumage around to find anything of value. I have had my window smashed 3 times, and one attempt to pop my lock. I have resorted to leaving my window rolled down when I park in my underground lot so that they can look around without breaking anything.

Damn, "low life's" of society. That guy doesn't even look like a crook, he's so "clean cut", but then again they all come in different shapes and sizes nowadays...sorry to hear...good luck.
