I listen to a lot of Jazz and Jazz Fusion.

funny...i used to listen to that same genre a lot when i was in university. You should pick up some David Weckl (Master Plan, Heads Up) and David Sanborn (Upfront)....really funky. I used to play a lot of chick corea on the keyboards back then....really cool stuff. listen to the albums i mentioned, i am sure you will love them

i don't listen to that stuff anymore though, favourites now are:

Zero 7 (the garden is fabulous, esp with Jose Gonzalez on vocals, but Simple Things is their best)
Thievery Corp (The DJ Kicks album is one of the best ones)
Kruder & Dorfmeister (Also pick up the DJKicks version...phenomenal)
Ursula 1000
Hotel Costes (vol 3,4 & 6 are quite good)
Groove Armada (Doin' it after dark vol 1 and 2 are great)
Kid Loco (A Grand Love Story)
Lemon Jelly (Ky, Lost Horizons)

Funny you mentioned that. I actually have most of Dave Weckl's cd's (including the ones you mentioned). Though, I thought Vinnie Colaiuta was a better drummer (who also has a solo album). From high school to college, I used those types of cd's to learn different playing styles for drums and percussion. I wanted to to learn piano and bass guitar, but never had the time.

These days most of the jazz I listen to comes from the the 60's to the 80's.

I like Ferry Corsten a lot. I have one set with DJ Nano that is really good but I've never heard of him before.
