Pic of the new Rover Sport - Lucerne Green

Her name is LuLu. Thanks again to everyone for their advice. I will definitely update on any electrical issues. She's a 2008 with less than 50 miles. This color (chick color IMO) is not for everyone, but I personally LOVE it. My mom loves it even more, so that's all that counts! Thanks again for the advice.

Nice! I too love the color.

Reminds me of my old 'Rover, a '91 Portofino Red Range Rover County:

It's not mine, but identical I'll always have a soft spot for 'Rovers.
(The RR Sport is the same body shape, now that I look at it closely)

Nice!

Funny thing is your color, Lucerne Green, really looks like the water in Lake Lucerne in Switzerland.

i too love RRs, and have had 3. An '88 SWB classic, a '95 LWB, and my current '01 HSE.

And yeah, the basic shape hasn't changed at all over the years. Love these trucks!

Damn that's a nice ride. I've always wanted one of those, but the TCO has always scared me off.

Different strokes for different folks. I think that is hideous.

They got a REALLY good deal on the car. They were offering either 0% financing or a lot off the sticker price of the car if you paid in cash. I think the sticker was somewhere around 63K and they got it for 50K.

I'm not familiar with Rovers, or really the car buying process in general, but sounded like a good deal to me! If it's not a good deal, I'm sure I'll be promptly corrected.

The thought of a Range for my next car has crossed my mind, until I built one on-line. I got that sucker up to around $80k and at that price I'd rather a e90 M3 or RS4, neither of which I think I can afford and I'm not about to pay full up cash on a car either.

My other thought is while driving around I see a lot of people with range rovers that shouldn't have them or are really living ghetto rich. Which leads me to believe they have a scary high sticker with a lot of wiggle room, deal A LOT, or have great lease rates.

They depreciate so fast it's not even funny. I wouldn't be surprised if I found a listing for a Range Rover Sport Supercharged that's 2 years old and under 20K miles for $20K under original list price.

I get they depreciate like shit. But their new price is still INSANE! I just don't get how some of the people I see driving them are affording them. Unless like I said, their sticker price is insane high and can fall dramatically or they have killer lease rates.

They are over priced in Australia as well. id rather get an X5 for less money, at least the X5 3.0sd is quicker then the super charged Range. I like the look of the car like its regal but for the dosh they imo aren't really worth it.

It's mostly trophy wives shuttling their kids to school and the mall. I can guarantee you that less than 10% will never see anything but paved road. Makes me very sad When I had my 'Rover, I went to "'Rover Rallies" with other owners and had the best time ever! That's what these machines are for, not to serve as glorified minivans.
