Dumb engine cover question...
I had a 2013 bmw 335xi m sport and recently exchanged it for a 2014 bmw 335xi m sport. My previous car's engine cover said m performance. This one looks like the standard engine cover. Anybody know if I should have had the m performance cover or was I just lucky on my previous car? Neither one had the mppk kit. Thanks in advance.

If you bought your previous car new and didn't order or purchase the MPPK for it, then that's a mystery; if you purchased it used, someone either installed the MPPK or obtained the M-Performance engine cover to make it appear as though it did.

It was brand new, as was the 2014 I got last week. I guess I was just lucky with that engine cover. I checked the invoice again on the 2013 and I didn't see anything that would indicate the MPPK was installed. Anyway, thanks for the info.
