What do big tires and sexy wheels/rims do for a car that people spend so much money on it? how important is it to the car appearance-wise? There are some who would spend an extra $3-4k for an enhanced wheel/tire package.

All i know is bigger tires give better performance and the sexy wheels/rims ehnance the looks of the car.

is there anythingelse to it?

the weight of those expensive rims, together with the tires, they can be much lighter than oem's
lighter rims = better mpg, better acceleration etc since you lose all that unnecessary weight
