The last CD you bought...
Today I went out and bought two CD's, Depeche Mode, "Playing the Angel", and The Bravery(self titled). Depeche Mode really went nutz on this one, the sound is so original and so unique that you'll either love it or hate it, and unfortunately I'm kinda on the "hate" side right now, lol. I can totally dig and appreciate original beats and sounds, but this is just so out of the box...you'd have to hear it for yourself. On the other hand, The Bravery, while nothing extrodianary, it's a good CD to have if you like fast paced music w/ an edgy sound, it's nice. I'm considering going out tomorrow and buying one more CD, I have a few in mind: Matisyahu, "Live at Stubbs"- Gorillaz - "Demon Days", Mariah Carey - "Emancipation of Mimi" - hey! I've always been one of her fans, fell in love w/ her when I was like 6(she was extrodinarily hott back then), she's got a great voice and I love "don't forget about us". Death Cab for Cutie - "Plans", Kanye West - "Late Registration". Lots of different styles and choices to the say the least. If you have any suggestions, would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks! |

I have not bought a CD since the 7th grade. Seriously. The last CD I actually purcashed for myself was back when Backstreet Boy's "Black and Blue" album came out. I burn everything.
I love, love, loveeee hellogoodbye. They have a really funky sound. I really also like yellowcard because they have a voilinist. |

Let's see...the last two CDs I can remember buying were Coldplay's X&Y and DMB (the new one with American Baby). Other than that, I couldn't tell you the last CD I bought. I've got a pretty huge collection, but it's just that there aren't any good songs coming out anymore...at least I think.
Every once in a while a good song will come out, but it's only one. It's kind of pointless to buy the whole CD just for one song. I think creativity is gone and the days of buying an album and enjoying every track are just about over. I wish the bands of today would follow the Beatle's, Pink Floyd's, Led Zeppelin's, U2's, and Oasis's lead... Sure Oasis is subjective and not everyone will agree, but Oasis's albums (Def. Maybe, Be Here Now, Morning Glory, Masterplan) is the last time that I can remember enjoying the entire albums--until the band broke up and released that Standing on the Shoulders sh!t album. |

Yeh that alblum was kinda crappy, "Definetly maybe" was some of their best work IMPO. X&Y is off the chain, very well produced, songs are totally new and it's an evolutionary step for Coldplay in so many ways, but at the same time, it's very Coldplay. Other CD's I've really enjoyed are Incubus - "Morning view", N.E.R.D. - "Fly or Die" & "In Search of" among others.
Most music is quite commercial unfortunately, a TV show can easily kill your favorite song. It's kinda hard to rate new music by comparing to alblums of past times, I think it's kind of not giving the newer material a fair shake. I listen to ablums as I hear them in their form and it is what it is after that. I'm always in search of a new groove, something new... I just might wait til Dec. 13th for Pharell's solo, anything him and Chad Hugo touch becomes magic... O yehhh, and Robin Thicke's new ablum, it's not even coming out til Feb. 06', and he already has a hit single..."wann love u girl" |

No, I totally agree about comparing new to old...I just meant, with those bands, I could listen to their whole albums the whole way through--not just skip through songs until I hit a good one. I was just trying to say the ones I mentioned--sure they all had bad songs, but I wasn't just buying the album for one song, that's all.
Oh, and Incubus is awesome! Drive and Stellar are my two favorites |

I must say, the whole reason why I bought "Playing the Angle" was for "Precious" that's one of the best songs of the year in my book, sounds even better on the CD, talk about a song that makes you want to drive fast... |

lol...
Anyway, I burn ALL my CDs. My friends who usually buy CDs will burn me a copy if I want one. I also use ITUNES for a lot of songs. I like it better than buying a whole CD because sometimes I may not like all the songs on a CD. |

What's the best p2p program out there for mp3's right now? winmx is no longer available it seems?
Also, list some cool songs that doesn't get much radio play. Just found "precious" by Depeche and it's an awesome song! |
