Preparing for heavy drinking?

do you guys do anything to prepare for a night of heavy drinking?

i've heard of so many stories from eating alot of bread, eating hours before, not eating, taking vitamins, sticking to 1 drink and etc.

i'm celebrating my birthday this weekend and i know my friends are out there to get me

Eat a good dinner around 7 or 8, start drinking around 9...take it slow and keep the buzz going...stop drinking between 12-1, get something to eat before going to bed around 3

Wake up feeling like nothing happened

When's your bday btw? Mine is tomorrow

Happy early bday back

In high school, the goal was to "get fucked up"...but as you get older, the goal changes to having a good time. That's why I don't try to rush it with shots or slamming beers. Just sip on your favorite drink throughout the night and try to maintain that perfect buzz without going overboard.

Hopefully not from everyone

Jay: [to Andy, in a bar] All you got to do is use your instincts. How do you think a lion knows to tackle a gazelle? It's written, it's a code written in his DNA, says, "tackle the gazelle." And believe it or not, in every man there's a code written that says, "tackle drunk bitches."

1. Eat a Huge meal 2-3 hours before
2. Avoid mixing beer and liquor
3. Refuse to take crazy shots like the "4 horsemen"
5. and most importantly...pace yourself.

Your friends if like mine, will try to give you shot after shot, one after another with 5 minutes in between.....or however long it takes for the bartender to get you another drink.

OOOH.....that gives me another great idea!!!

Go to a packed bar where getting a drink takes longer than usual! that should buy you sometime haha.

Everyone prolly know this, but: liquor before beer, you're in the clear. Beer before liquor, never been sicker.

If you're going to go "heavy drinking" why try to prevent from getting drunk since that's the obvious goal?

If you want to not get drunk eat greasy foods before and throughout your drinking. If you want to get smashed fast eat nothing.

drink some Gatorade or Powerade before heading out to hydrate yourself. Also, if you can remember to, drink some before going to bed.

To help avoid a hangover, stay away from sugar filled mixers (Coke, Sprite, Redbull). I stick with soda water.

i usually just pop a few b12 vitamin pills and i wake up fine. i just dont know how many i'll have to take this time around

i only use OJ and cranberry as mixers. well any kind of juice.

+1. If you are a Goose man try it with soda and lime. Kind of boring and not a lot of flavors but it is clean. Most important is stay away from the sugars. It sits in your blood stream as you dream the night away. You wake up and the head feels like a railroad spike is coming out of the back. Lastly, drink water as you go through the night. Room temp is the best. From a "Pro" that doesn't have birthdays any more. I just roll with it all..........

Good point...you need electrolytes to re-hydrate yourself. This is good for afterwards. I believe that powerade has them while gatorade doesn't, but I could be wrong.

I do not like water. If it is going to be one of those nights, poker, party whatever I make a point to force it down.
