and as always...steering feel. Man bmw can not make a good eps even if life on earth depended on it. I went for a quick run on my friends X5 3.0d msport and apart from excessive tire noise (runs 21") and wind noise the car was great...but the steering was shite compared to the one in my new Macan.

Cannot find the middle ground. E series had super heavy steering and now F has super light steering, total disappointment, but we still ordered it because even at over $70k it's still a good deal. I think Macan's competition is more like X3 not X6, maybe X4, but still not X6.

Confirmed on EPS.
Having owned F15 I have to say that the car is just beautiful inside and out but the steering feel and precision is just crap. I have no idea how this kind of EPS could be signed off to production by the management.

+ said that the day I tested my X3 but there wasnt anything better in the market then. Now traded it for the macan - happy as hell - and to be honest having driven an X5 recently - despite the good interior design average quality - and decent looks the fugly Porker Cayenne would be my n1 choice in this segment, if you like driving like I do.

Yup I fully agree.

My E90 went for service today

I got a 316i F30, whilst I love the interior and comfy suspension, it handles too... But it has no power to speak of and virtually no feel through the steering wheel. It's like a speedboat with a lawn mower engine.

When I pick up my E90 tomorrow it will be like putting on a comfy pair of shoes that I can feel the ground in.

BMW need to buy some 911s and find out how porsche make steering work
