Thanks for a really great thread and special thanks to Shawn, great job!

I have a few questions about coding my F10.

1. Is it possible to enable the sailing feature to the automatic gearbox?

2. If i enable the sport transmission what would the difference be compared to the ordinary one?

3. I have S8THA SPEED LIMIT INFO with a camera behind the mirror. Can this camera be coded to do something more?

4. Is it possible to change anything in the engine and gearbox control unit?

5. My car is going to the dealer to get updated due to some gear changing problems. Can you please provide me with the latest programs so I can start coding when I get it back.

6. Is it possible to update my european maps? I have the: S609A NAVIGATIONSSYSTEM PROFESSIONAL

I had looked last night at the build sheet from my '14 and it had 6NS which explains that.

Question... Can I enable EBT to allow for iPhone video on the iDrive, or is this even what my issue is here?

As I suspected, as loaded out as your F13 is, it has 6NH Basic Bluetooth and not 6NS EBT. You need to change it an code EBT.

Thanks for the link! This explains and helps allot. Nice of my dealer to mention this, especially since I had asked about it and then at delivery they spent 30 minutes trying to figure out why they couldn't get some of these things to work. LOL

Well, you can enable EBT:

But, I do not know if it will allow iPhone Video or not. I have no NBT nor iPhone to test it with.

3. If you have SLI, you have KAFAS Camera. KAFAS is also used for 5AC HBA and 5AD LDW. Both of these require switches though (stalk / dash), and LDW requires Vibrator in Steering Wheel (which you may have if you have 5AG BSP). KAFAS can also do Front Collision Warning (FCW) and 8TF Pedestrian Detection; however, these require FSC Enabling Codes issued by BMW AG for your VIN be Imported and Activated in KAFAS, and these are basically impossible to get.

4. For all practical purposes, no.

I'm going to continue my quest on this, thanks for all the info! Interestingly, I looked at my phone Bluetooth settings for my F12 & E70 so when it paired with the phone, it must 'know' that certain options are not available:

Okay, few questions to make sure I am comprehending this right. I have the cable and plug in to computer blah blah. So I download the ESYS program, then i need to buy a token to enable it correct? After I do that I can connect the program to the car and follow the instructions and go from there. Am i missing anything..?

By any chance, has anyone found a setting that would enable Siri activation in an MY2012 6NH-equipped car? My 6NH seems to be more like MY2015 6NS than MY2015 6NH as my car has most of the features listed for MY2015 6NS.

Siri only works on >=0713 NBT Head Unit Firmwares. It is not possible at all with CIC Head Unit.

3.24.3 is E-Sys version, not EDIABAS version.

EDIABAS is not used nor needed at all for E-Sys.

E-Sys needs only PSdZData.

F020-14-03-503 is 52.3 or 52.4 or 52.5, so yes, you need updated PSdZData.

Hey coders! I'm a newb to coding lol Shawn can vouch for that after needing his help to troubleshoot numerous times, btw I gave up on running esys via VirtualBox on my mac, just borrowed a friend's laptop.

I followed the cheat sheet pdf from the first post to code "windows and roof with keyfob" just to test if I got the hang of this coding thing.

F30/X/FEM_BODY/3053/PwMaster/KOMFORTSCHLIESSUNG_FB/aktiv (werte = 01)/nichtaktiv (werte = 0)/Closes windows/roof with keyfob (add ASP_BEIKLAPPEN_etc. for mirror closing)

I'm running Esys 3.24.3 and psdzdata 52.3. I followed all the steps exactly but right after I activated the FA or coded FDL (it was one or the other, forgot which) I got a message on the idrive screen saying something about lane assist malfunction or something along those lines and the side view mirrors seemed to readjust themselves simultaneously in the process. Is the cheat sheet not up to date or did I accidentally code the wrong module/function? The car still starts and drives fine but I assume I turned off lane assist instead of turning on the windows and roof close with keyfob. Also what does "add ASP_BEIKLAPPEN_etc. for mirror closing mean"???

I tried coding this yesterday on friends F10, but car wouldn't start right after coding (with or without depressing the brake pedal)... seems as if the car wouldn't even crank.

After sweated for 10 secs, reverted both settings back to original and car could start again...

I don't think this is expected behaviour?

Did shut down the engine completely (didn't lock the car though)
