Koenigsegg "Quark" a tiny but powerful electric motor

As always, Koenigsegg introduces another intriguing product. This one being a very small and potent electric motor which they put into their Gemera model. At just 63 pounds thanks to advanced materials and engineering, it puts out 335hp and 443lb-ft of torque.

The thing that excites me the most is that when stuff like this becomes more prominent and common, we'll start to see old cars converted to electric builds.

I might be ready for a Quark-swapped E30.

I'm reminded of Bisi's electric-converted Porsche 935.

This is a good indication of what's coming... pretty much in the future every vehicle will be like a 4 motor instant and silent torque monster appliance - like it or not... Just like you buy a refrigerator now - same shit from different companies.

Haha, yeah possibly. I can't help but think a company like Koenigsegg will always be a step ahead when it comes to innovation though. They design some cool stuff to be sure. If cars start coming out equipped with a few of these "Quarks", I may just jump on to the EV bandwagon.

I think it's incredible that such a small manufacturer keeps coming up with these first-to-market technologies.

Agreed, an E30 or even better, a 2002 would be amazing with one of these!
