new car (sort of)...

I just traded in my 2008 G37S 6MT for a brand new 2010 G37S 7AT. I got a killer VPP deal and I couldn't pass it up. Here's the details:

2010 Infiniti G37S 7AT Journey
Graphite Shadow/Graphite
Premium
Sport
Navigation
Splash guards
Trunk net

MSRP - $45055
VPP sale price - $38970
39 mo lease $549/mo with $1200 due at signing (15k/year)

I know, I know, I got an automatic. Here's the thing, the 6MT is alot less refined than the auto IMO. This car feels about 100 times smoother than my last one. I also believe that the G series cars have a weak clutch. I was convinved mine was going any day so I jumped at the chance to get a new one. I love the updated nav system as well. Its got traffic and weather, Zagat, speed limit warning, and USB for my iPod.

I took some crappy pics today:

I LOVE this color!!

I prefer the washi trim to the shodo personally...

She had 7 miles on her yesterday...

Looks familiar...

The interior update feels slightly more upscale than the 08-09 IMO...

Its a poor substitute for 3 pedals, but the throttle-blipped downshifts sound awesome...

So clean...

XM weather...

I hope I can keep the paint looking like this!

So far so good. I always loved my old G and now I have a brand new one! Win!

I see they got rid of the purple gauges. Interesting, hows the new nav?

Cant go wrong with a 335i. I would have gone with an E92 but the prices are just too ridiculous....

I had a 2008 G37S 6MT for 2 years and I'll definitely get the automatic over 6MT if I could do it over again. Looks like the gauge cluster doesn't that much blue color inside the circle anymore and center LCD is changed to white which looks much better IMO.
Congrats!!

I LITERALLY just done reading Automobile Magazine's wrap up of a long term EX35 and they kept comparing it to the G37 and saying that although they are 6MT people the 6MT G37 has never been good and that the torque converter in the 7AT makes the car feel much more refined.

Congrats dude. If and when I ever tire of my AMG beating me up and I need a quick, easy [read: not expensive] switch I'll definitely go for a used G37 or IS350.

Beautiful choice!

Smart idea to take advantage of a good deal and get out of your older G37 before the clutch gave out.

Btw, my younger cousin also recently picked one of these up with the 7AT.

He was debating between the G37 and the 335i coupe, and now he's so happy that he went with the G37. He loves it very much!
