cleaning lenses
how are you supposed to clean your lenses? but i'm not sure where it is because i found a strand of hair in one of mine and it is very annoying. when i take pictures it doesnt show up in the pics
 help please?

I clean the front of the lens with lens cleaner dripped onto lens tissue. Then just apply it and it dissolves pretty quick. It was really cheap, check out a camera store. I don't feel comfortable cleaning with other products that aren't made for lens.

I've used a Lenspen on my riflescopes for years and I've been happy with the results. Looking at their website, it looks like they make an assortment of cleaning tools for the photographer. Might have to pick up another one for the camera bag.....

If it's inside the barrel, I'd send it in for service if it was visible. If it's not visible, well, personal preference I guess.

on the lens itself, id grab a lenspen, on the filter (where it would preferably be...) I would use a lens cleaner solution and a little lens cleaning wipe (usually comes in a kit) and a brush (also, usually included)

Just use a lens blower ($5)... if there are smudges or particles still stuck use a good quality Lens cloth or microfiber cloth ($5) If it is in a hard to reach part of the lens (like some rear elements) wrap the cloth around the eraser tip to a pencil.
