Great Era of 80s Action Heroes

Does anyone feel like movies aren't made the same way anymore and the action heroes just aren't the same?

Oscar winning performances such as Arnold's Commando seem to be long gone.

What are some of your favorite movies / actors of the time?

Perhaps I should have said 80s and 90s but there were many corny movie greats-

Arnold
Sly
Wesley Snipes
Chuck Norris
Jackie Chan
Jean Claude
Steven Seagal
Dolph Lundren
Charles Bronson

Commando is one of my favorite movies. Watching him and that chick crash that little speeding roadster into that telephone pole without wearing seat belts and defying the laws of physics in the process never gets old.

Nor does the top notch steel drum and saxophone heavy soundtrack.

You mean where they crash at like 80 mph straight into a pole and walk right out of the car lmfao... or when arnold jumps out of a plane that is taking off. But its really the one liners and comebacks that make that movie... to me, it was passed over for an oscar.

One of his first roles... note the number of speaking parts in that one.

CONAN!!!! "Crom!"

That is the only movie where I waited in line hours outside the theater. I was second into the theater only because my "buddy" tripped me

Oh and btw, Jean Claude in the late 80s started experimenting with a lot of coke and grew that outstanding mullet. Turned out later on that he was bipolar.

Rambo 4 is amazing, I thought I would hate it and I absolutely loved it. Here's my inner gun nerd talking, but it wasn't a "tank gattling gun" (lol) which Rambo used at the end. It was a modified Browning M2 aircraft machine gun.

Great scene though! haha
