Drive thru oil change shops

What are your opinions about them? To be honest, I've had good success with them and even better than the dealers! They just don't overcharge like 30-50 dollars or more like what dealers like to do.

In Canada, we have Mr. Lube and I would rate them as pretty good and they never wrecked my car yet. Since I got my new E92 and 07 Civic, I haven't gone back to Mr. Lube, but I will probably take my Civic to them after some horrible stuff that happened to the dealer after two different visits.

I dont think that Dealer or any other shop would change our oil in different ways. I've heard stories about dealer not replacing the filter, and other not good stuff about independent shops. It all depends on a shop i would say. I always bring my own oil and filter (buy it from the dealer) and let them do just the labor. But my friends do that on their own in their backyards...
Last time i took it to the shop which has oil called ELF so i paid for everything.

I've use a drive in place place in the past, and honestly i wouldn't have any problem using one again if i wasn't covered by free service. Changing oil is not rocket science. They show you the oil and filter if you specify a specific type or brand and it's very convenient.

would never do it. there was a news saying they charge their customers and never really change the oil and filter. i think it was speedy oil change.
