Talking Another douchebag bmw driver thread

I was leaving work yesterday in my daily (350z vert) doing 5 over the speed limit when some guy in a crappily modded e90 325i starts tailgating me. Blacked out front headlights and all. He keeps tailgating me for about 2 miles down the road until we pull up to a stoplight, at which point he floors it and skids to a stop next to me at the stoplight. He then looks over at me with the most serious face you have ever seen and sticks his hand out the window and proceeds to give me a thumbs down for about 5-10 seconds At this point I can't keep a strait face anymore and bust out laughing at he guy, 'cause he's totally serious. Anyway, after the light goes green, I put a few car lengths between us and slow down. This a-hole keeps accelerating and flips me off while he's passing me. Lol.

Think he's just a brand snob? Or would the outcome have been the same if I was in my 335i?

thats what you get for driving a vert...I must not be on the radar because I drive an E91...best of both worlds...get to drive my Bimmer and keep a low profile!...(though I do get nods from other Bimmerphiles...)

Still, I always think that If I am in somebodys way, or pass someone, I think that they think.."frikin BMW driver!".....ahh well...

You live in PA? Because I saw the exact same car driving like a penis on my way home from work 2 days ago. I was embarrassed for all BMW drivers that day..

It's a 350z vert. Almost stock, not flashy at all.

Why would he be fingering you? Did you happen to do something to him? Like a brake check or going slow or not letting him pass? Otherwise, what a cock.

Wasn't fingering me, lol he gave me the finger. But no, I didn't do anything to provoke him.

Sounds like a Napolean complex, roid-rage, or just plain being a dumbass. All very good possibilities.

I honestly don't know how the stereotype of BMW drivers=pricks come from I see people do stupid shit in all types of cars. The douchiest of them all happen to be the asshats in bro-dozers.

Older e90's with higher mileage are just becoming to affordable now. We're going to see more of this happening I guarentee it. Like what happened when e46's became affordable to HS kids. Hot import night modding with neons and chrome 20's and cocky attitudes because they drive a "BMW" now. Best to always stay a generation ahead so I don't get confused with them lol Just a quick search, you can pick up 06,07 325-328 anywhere from 10-14k now.

Funny, I don't recall seeing this kind of behavior from other BMWs (NYC metro). Usually it's a ricer or a Mustang or something.

I'm trying to figure out how this tool is any different than the "I have a 335i. You just have a (325, 328, 330)" crowd around here. Tools are tools.
