So my question is, do all 335i's have the manual option even if they don't have the sports package? I've asked around and have gotten mixed answers (even from BMW workers via phone). I'm wondering because this would mean I could buy any 335i without paddle-shifters and eventually add them aftermarket which makes my market search open up a lot more.

Simple answer: yes.

I have a 2010 w/o sport package (no paddles).
all you have to do is move your stick knob to the left (this activates sports mode). To engage in manual mode, just push it up or down once. It will display what gear you are in on your dash. M2 (manual 2nd gear), M3 (manual 3rd gear), etc.

Have fun. Drive safe.

Thanks.. Already found out after other people told me and further research. Ended up getting a 335i w/o sports package for $9,000

Couldn't pass up on that price no matter if it had paddle-shifters or not. And I must say, 335i in manual mode has got some power. My old 325i with mods wouldn't stand a chance. All these mustangs and camaros ( a lot where I live) underestimate BMW's

You want the factory oil cooler.
Too late... ended up getting a 335i w/o sports package. Couldn't pass up for $9,000 even though it doesn't have paddle-shifters. I might not even add them... a lot of people say they don't use the them and prefer the shifter knob better so idk yet.

Yea its fun.
Plenty of power for every day driving.

You'll walk on stock (non-GT, non-302 Boss) mustangs and non SRT camaros.

Yeah kind of a sleeper car for people who don't know BMW's. Everyone thinks luxury with no performance which couldn't be more wrong. And yeah, the tuned out mustangs and camaros would whoop me but luckily most around here are stock non-gt and only the v6 RS instead of the v8 SS.
