Not mine but mostly the same car. 97 Camry in good ole beige. Got it toward my senior year of HS in the late 00s. Sloppy dynamics and slow but it served me well. Previous owner put a fake wood kit lol which I'll admit did spruce up the interior. I was just a kid, didn't need anything fancier.

First car I ever bought was a ‘71 Plymouth Duster 340.
Saved up my pennies from wrenching at the garage up the street while going thru college. Borrowed my family’s cars all the time before I finally got my own. Lift and tools access in the evenings was such a great bonus. It was a really fun cruising machine, and a little straight-line beast…eventually got it running 12.4 sec 1/4s. . |

At 16, I thought my first ride was the coolest thing around. Unfortunately, the only photos that survived the 15 years since are from its ultimate demise (rear ended at a red light by someone on their phone).
Car: 1994 Honda Accord LX Sedan Scraped what little money I had for some "mods". Pep-Boys rims, Magnaflow muffler, and some eBay headlights. Admittedly, my taste has matured over the years. Attached a stock photo alongside my car for reference:

Truly my first car. I bought for $1,600 borrowing $800 from my dad. Drove it for several years in HS. Wish I still had this 1963 Mark II.

Damn nice!! My first a 1973 Javelin AMX with 401 go-pak with auto and plum paint with gold T-stripe. Some one built it and could not come up with the money to buy it....my parents bought it for me....lucky me. I had the car until a tornado destroyed in when sitting in a machine shed.

Wolseley Hornet
I think it was the summer of 1980 when I bought a ratted out, rust bucket Wolseley Hornet - nowhere near the mint condition of the one in these photos. I was too young to hold a driving license. Nevertheless, I bought it for 50 Pounds from a local car dealer on my walk back from school and then I drove it home (about two miles up a country lane). I then proceeded to take it all apart and build a grass-track Mini Cooper wannabe - which sort of became an off-road Mini - no license required! A bit like a dirt bike with four wheels. I don't have any photos of that car either but something similar is shown below (in yellow). The Wolseley Hornet begat the other once a bare shell had been located. Most of the mechanical bits were transplanted but not before the 998cc engine had a 731 profile cam installed and twin SU carbs added to it. The new shell was from an ex-rally Mini and had all sorts of floor bracing and strengthening. Though I must admit I connected up the hydrolastic fluid suspension incorrectly. Boy those were the days...
. . . . An Example of a Grass-Track Mini. Except mine was red with a black roof - same as my E92 M3 now.. *

2003 Saab 93. First car that I actually purchased and wasn't a hand down from a family member. Loved that car so much and was a blast to drive (5-speed manual).
