Wondering, why does it effect your dating?
It seems like girls feel that way after nasty breakups, and I would love the know the sycology....

Almost the same reason why you wouldn't get a new dog immediately after your dog of 15 years dies.

Because i invested so much emotion, time, passion..etc into it. I dont want to go through it all again only to find out that it was a waste and went to hell. Im just afraid to get close to another guy, and realize that hes a pyschopath, and my family keeps telling me i should be thankful that all he did was rob me and trash my room instead of pulling a scott peterson situation on my ass.

I just dont know if i wanna trust again.. or atleast not for a while. Just seems that i was told what i wanted to hear, he might have been honest and real throughout our 2 years or fooling me.. and thast hwy i dont wanna deal with it again.

Plus when you get comfortable with someone, and they know all your weird habits..etc. its hard to imagine going through it all again with someone new

Bella, what's to say he had your jewelery and then pawned it off the next day for money for crack? You're opening a can of worms, I'm afraid. Consider it a learning experience and move on. You don't need this guy find out you're throwing accusations around you can't prove beyond a reasonable doubt (even if you say you can, it's not necessarily the case if brought to court).

If your serious about this and want to step it up to get your jewelery back (or at least some form of monetary reparations) hire a lawer, have him look at the police report, tell him your story and perhaps you could prove your story to a judge. Otherwise, let it go.

Get yourself a safe and start looking for GOOD GUYS!

And you really have made yourself believe that all guys are like him?

I think the best medicine would be to actually find a good guy (one of your own, italian, because that seems to help (2 100% italians, with the trust aspects)

However, your lifestyle might not dictate that since you are moving out here to college, but I cant beleive you were ready to settle down with this genious.....

Oh man... that sucks!!! Definitely find a means to get that stuff back -- it's stuff you can never replace. You'll regret it later if you don't try.

I say it's def worth shooting the chick an e-mail. What's the worst that can happen???

If that doesn't work, your Italian right??? Go make a phone call...

Yea im trying to stay positive and telling myself that i have so much life to live still, and its a blessing in disguise. If i were to settle with him, i prob wouldnt ever move out of san diego, he wanted kids, so i'd get pregnant and consider that my life. Done deal.

And if you know me, im NOT like that. Im spontaneous, outgoing, love to travel, always on the go.. i couldnt handle being at home 24/7.

Its not that i think all men are like him, its just that im afraid to find out.

I hear ya, and its valid.

I would get the following completly outa ya mind:

1, dating for right now, or atleast seriously.

2, Blackmail or slander of any kind

3, Police or judicial system

And us men wonder why us guys get bad wraps, and why lesbianism starts, ha ha ha

the funny thing is even after she read all these posts, she will still be thinking about whether or not to do it. We can only give you advice. Whether you take it seriously or not is ultimately up to you. You'll see that I am right.

Im not gonna write her. I decided that it will just make me dwell on it more.. because #1- ill be tripping wondering when/if she'll write back and what she will say. #2-instead of going forward, im going backwards and getting deeper into it, and #3- he probably wont have any of my stuff anyway and #4- its showing to him and her taht i still care and am obessesing over it.
