It's funny that the auctioneers seem to have a sense of humor about the whole thing (the "look at me" line).
It's worthy of satiric commentary on a business level because those things infringe on Brembo's intellectual property rights, and on a personal level because it's a sad commentary on the auto enthusiast community that anyone would feel the need to spend money on fake caliper covers to gain acceptance from their peers. It's not funny ha-ha, but it is a little sad for these types of communities that demand for such products exists.
