I highly suggest using these Powerflex bottom/ top mounts for rear shocks.

These can make the rear dampers react more quickly, but can also add a bit of NVH. All in a good way!

Ohlins are monotube high pressure with a 60 lb/in minimum internal pressure so it could take all your body weight just to compress one damper, especially in the confined space you are working in.

This kit is just quality beyond words. The only slight issure I had was the damper was at softest setting, I took the adjuster off the top and the allen insert came out with adjuster and I lost it for a hour, just be sure to check when taking off adjuster.

Here is the Kit (I also got new tophats and endlinks from HP Autosport):

I made a big mistake of putting the seal where the spring meets the adjuster (other coilovers I had did this) and had to take the rear springs back out to fix it LOL!!

Got all new hardware:

Brake dust shields got on my nerves so they are gone:

How the car sits (I adjusted it high so it had room to settle).

Do you know what size is the top hat nut is? and if its the same as e92 m3 by any chance.

Gonna ghetto rig my took like yours!

Nice job and beautiful suspension. I will be heading this direction in the future but today I just installed ST coilovers to get me by.

Hey rob, I know this is a old thread but I was wondering how these have been holding up? Im looking to ditch these shitty BC's and go with either these or some AST coilovers. What spring rate did you get for the front also?

I believe his front rate is OE Ohlins R&T, which is about 336 lb/in.

AST is probably not a good choice at this time as there is very little support here in the US for warranty and service.

Let us know if you have further questions.

Were the BC's that bad or are the Ohlins just that good?

I'm looking to get BC's because I don't have the money to spend on real quality coilovers and I'm not that concerned sacrificing ride quality as long as it's not bouncing like a honda. I just want the added damper adjustability that you don't get with other entry coilovers like ST or KW V1

BC are a bit bouncy but you do get camber plates, and adjustability.
