The K40 is overpriced and it can't jam any of the laser guns used by the police.

Get a Valentine One for a radar/laser detector and for a laser jammer get the LPP, AL, or soon to be released Laser Interceptor.

i have a passport 8500, it saved me many tickets since i bought it......although as far as i am concerned valentine1 is the best out there, it is way too expensive as opposed to passport, so if u have limited budget, just get passport, u wont regret it!

Negatorie, cops dont just ride around with it on, and most likely even if they are looking for speeders by hiding out or what not they will be using instant on. I would say about 1 out of 5 sit around with the gun on.

Buy a V1. Ride around with it on for a year. You'll eventually learn the habits of your local and state cops and their radar usage. For example, in PA only the state cops have radar and they can only use it when stationary.

Just remember, even with the best detector out there (Valentine One), you still have to be smart about your driving. ie. Going over the speed limit on a highway where there's no one in front of your for the cop to zap, could mean the first person he zaps is you.

Thats not true you can use any radar while being stationary or moving...they CAN use it but they may not choose to while moving. So you might wanna re word that.

PA = Pennsylvania. It's the only state I know of where the cops have to be stationary to use radar.
