Summertime 2014 release. So they are only a few months behind.

But I hate to say it but I blew my budget on motorcycle stuff.

Hope it's ready by next summer when the penny jar gets full.

But my spidey senses are saying ceramic coated headers in the meantime...

This has all the makings to be another MMW or AA fiasco.

For the sake of the N52/51 I will remain optimistic, but it sure is difficult.

I have contacted them numerous times and I keep getting the same answer. The weird thing is that Roman is active in M3post almost everyday but won't write so much as a sentence here. At the very least post something.

See, this is my point gents
I find it really poor that he can be very involved in the m3 forums, or the n54 talk, but we get sweet fanny Adams.
Roman, lift your game son, cause in the words of twisted sister..."we're not gonna take it..."
Please tell me there are some fellow forum members that are old enough to remember twisted sister!!!

Hopefully it's done before 5 years so I can get it and convert my car to a track car after dental school

It isn't happening. There, I settled it for you. Haha, I have no clue but it seems odd that they would ignore their own upcoming product.

So I'm not a mechanical engineer of any sort, but what makes producing/designing a supercharger so difficult for this platform?

not gonna be easy job, many tuner even struggle to come up proper NA tune. i think mainly due to valvetronic.

it took AA a couple of year to finally crack the vavletronic and roll out their "2nd" stage software, 1st stage didnt really do very much.

AA wasn't shy about saying they just didn't think the automatic transmission could handle it and the economics of building and selling the thing only for the TINY fraction of M/T owners who would end up buying one didn't make sense. I respect that.
I only worry that ESS is starting to think that transmission can't take it even though earlier in this post Roman said that it will be fine.

By the time the SC kit is out the kit will cost more than used PRE LCI's

If it was more economical and "main stream" this may revert to a money maker

Tuning.

The mechanical aspect of manufacturing the brackets and piping is not a big deal at all. They most likely had that done in a week max. The tuning and getting our engines to work with FI is a MAJOR issue.

Something is going on for sure. AA is not a fly-by-night operation and they have a reputation to uphold, unlike MMW. I have a feeling they're still working out the bugs and it's going to take a little more time. Personally, I'd rather have them figure everything out and get it right the first time instead of just getting something out to "please" everyone and then have problems.
GOD forbid if there are problems. Then we'll have pitchforks and torches out because they didn't take the time to get it right.

Roman: I hope you and the other hard working people over at ESS are just fine-tuning this bad boy and plan to release this before the end of this year! I think it would help just to let us know that the project is still moving forward. A lot of us on this forum are nervous about reoccurances similiar to AA and MMW.

Thank You,

N52 owner with 75,000 miles

The their test car was a 330. It was running 10.5 psi and maing 325whp/26xwtq. The production kit is going to be running 7.5 psi so it'll probably be around the 300 give or take.
