I dont think she said anything wrong. The news media tend to blow shit out of proportion quite a bit nowadays. As much as I felt sorry for the Chinese people, I too thought it was karma. Although I wish it happened to the government rather than the people, it really was karma. I mean what the fuck was the government thinking exiling the Dalai Lama as well going into Tibet and caused such a stir up. The Chinese government can have too much pride and be so hard-headed sometimes.

I don't believe in the karma argument. True karma would have simply killed the political ruling party responsible for the mistreatment of Tibetans. The death of tens of thousands of innocent people is an unfortunate consequence of a natural disaster, not the wrath of God or karma.

To say it was karma is to dismiss the tragedy that is still unfolding as somehow the fault of the victims and deserved punishment. To say so, both shows ignorance of what karma represents and the situation.

I wonder what the backlash would have been if someone stated that Katrina was karma for the war in Iraq.

As I've stated in my last post, I wish that it had happened to the government rather than the people. It was a real tragedy and I think we all understand that. No one want to see others get hurt, be it in their own country or in a foreign country.

Perhaps this tragedy will open up people's eyes over there so that they can do something about the government that doesn't care about its people.

Aggravating

some "celebrities" aren't very bright, unfortunately they often say stupid things and they are quickly broadcasted in the media,i think it's time for another revolution in china, oust the old guard, rather execute them , publicly would be nice, start fresh. i have nothing against the chinese people either, but ,the government should never have invaded tibet, they have no right to be there, and anytime something doesn't go their way, they act like children , it's true , sad but true, how can you deal with leaders that behave this way,i say ,start lining them up against the wall, and get the firing squads ready.

Tibet was evaded and occupied by China in the 1950's. During the Dynasty era there was a signed treaty stating positions and borders showing tibet was independet then.
