Mercedes is even worse!
I know we give BMW a lot of grief about its latest designs, but I’d like to dedicate a thread to recognize it could be worse.
And by that I mean it could be Mercedes. These EQS things are downright homely. Goodness. |

The iX is unfortunately even uglier than the EQS, but otherwise Mercedes has BMW beat. The EQ line are all so unfortunate looking.
The C/E/S and G wagon look classy and like proper Mercs, but the remainder of their portfolio I don't care for

Not only do the EQ-models look bad, but they come with MB's bottom of the barrel reliability and customer non-care, courtesy of the clowns, MB's dealers.

I’m ashamed to admit, and don’t tell anyone this, but the looks of the iX are growing on me. In the right colour. I still wouldn’t have one though.

Sorry to say the newer Aston Martins fall into this category of misaligned frontal grilles, are they kidding with that huge ugly agape 'screaming agony' of a grille that makes the car look like its suffering.

Frankly... its not THAT bad, a little too soap bar for me, 'clean' design doesn't do much for me, but its proportions are decent

The EQ line is "dumpy". Agree it doesn't look good.

EQ suv's look a lot better, the sedans look like jelly beans.
The iX is vomit inducing ugly. |

Their prior gen cars from the late '00s and early '10s were much sexier and cleaner designs.

The XM I'll admit has grown on me. I'll never think it's objectively good design, but it certainly has road presence and a macho attitude. The iX is Steve Urkel in comparison.

The EQS may look boring, meh, etc., but can't say it's ugly. Like the S-Class, it's the car you buy if you just want to blend in, not to be seen.
If you really want a car that screams ugly, look at me, BMW still owns it.. |

One of the worst designs ever. It's just breathtaking that someone would release that as a product.

RR doesn't have anything to prove and they are indistinguishable from afar...imo.
Some of the BMW's, see above, look like a foaming racoon helped in the designing. That are a student from the beginners origami class. I'm sorry, that shite is nasty. Even embarrassing. Aston's are funky? Gimme some of that funky stuff, please. Well, not the Vantage or DBX. DBS and DB12 are art on wheels.

Yeah I saw the Spectre and it’s a straight up 7 series with a bunch of Rolls touches, but honestly it kinda works as a Rolls. When you look at it from that perspective it really does just make the 7 series look like a knock off

Is it a "knock-off" if they're both owned by the same company? I think the Rolls Royce is absolutely the design influence on the 7 series, especially with the two-tone paint options. But to say it's a "knock-off" when they're both made by the same company seems like a weird thing to say.
