My wife love's cars as much as any guy that I know(she love's driving the ///M3 and she drives it like she means it)...but if you start talking about modification's that's where she draws the line. She doesn't see the point to it and it's been that way since day one and that was 10 years ago. If you do find a girl that is into modded cars that is definitely something rare.

Here we go again. While there are things that women find attractive in men, after the age of 22 I doubt what kind of car he drives is one of them. We live in a day and age of leasing, any intelligent woman would know that. And we all know that leasing means small you know what.

i changed all the bulbs in the front so now its all mtec super whites. my gf notices the difference and likes the white/blue hue of the lights better than the stock yellows. when she spots other e92s, she says "eww that one is yellow".

however, i have had my oem aero lip on for about 2 weeks now and my gf still cant tell the difference. even though i specifically point it out to her every so often, she still has no idea what exactly was modded.

the only way she can tell is if i show her 2 pictures of the pre/post mod side by side. then she goes "ooooh i see it now".

but the minute we hit the road and she spots another e92, she always says "that one has the same lip thingy you have"... even though its stock.

win some and you lose some...

I can testify to that. Living in Dubai - which has a huge population of expensive cars and nouveau riche (so there a quite a few girls who are after some money) - I have found that there are quite a few girls and some older guys who think a 523i is a better and more expensive car than a 335i. When in actual fact a 335 is as expensive as a 540i.

For the most part I don't think the ladies give a rats ass about performance mods. As for the wheels, tint, etc. Sure it matters, but not in the same way as it does to some owners. The ladies by and large could give a shit about unsprung weight and couldn't care less how much your wheels or car costs... If they do then you don't want to be anywhere near them anyway. No other than the sack chasing scumbags, ladies are mostly concerned with the over all look. Does it look good? Plain and simple.

Remember too that your vehicle will be seen as a reflection of who and what you are about, so if you are driving the "Over Compensation Special" Black/Black rollin on chrome 20's the ladies pick up on that. Hell the color combination and over all look of your car will can have a pretty serious effect on the type of ladies your car attracts... Anything from Hood-Rat tramp to Jr. Executive can all be dialed up based on the color, mods, and wheels...

Maybe... Maybe Not.

I do know for sure though that most ladies, (under 30 anyway), freaking love the performance and handling of the 335 Coupe. They like the exterior, they freak when they see the red leather, and then they are there for the duration after a few canyon miles. They don't give two shits about this or that intake, or who made your chip, but if they are sucked back into their seats they are happy.. Unless you are a shitty, overly aggressive driver and you scare them. Then you are just a little boy with a cute toy, and nobody has any fun.

So yeah looks matter, you get to ricey and the ladies will ignore you, but in the end if you are good behind the wheel, it's the performance of the car that really matters.

At least that how it seems to work with most of the models I work with.

Girls who have money, and also have nice cars, will complement my car and say its nice. They feel like they are on an equal level with you so they are more comfortable in saying something about the car.

Girls who are less well off, and drive junkers, act like they don't even notice it...because they feel inferior.
