That's why I want IEMs instead of earbuds. I don't like wrap around earphones. I'm kinda of an audiophile on a budget, I appreciate good sound. In this case, decent sound.

Think I found them.
$20

People on Head-fi say they are durable with no microphonics.

Edit : Just received an e-mail confirmation that my order was shipped already. The order was fulfilled through a 3rd party merchant for Amazon.
Damn ...That was fast - Just a few minutes after I placed it!!!

I ordered them, gonna give them a try since I have Amazon Prime.
btw, if you have a student email, prime is free and won't "auto-renew" and charge you when it runs out:

free student amazon prime is great. but it encourages me to spend much more money on amazon than i used to. well, i'm probably getting a good deal when i buy anyways.

let me know how those m6 work out. if they're decent, i'll probably want a pair too

Prices fluctuate, it's only $20. If they aren't that good, I'll give them to my kid sister.

they're only $20, but i'm also considering cx300 or cx380 brad listed. or maybe something entirely different. *shrug* i'm not really a audiophile so don't know too much.

Well these retail for 50. I will post a review in a few days. I like sennheiser since I have 2, but read things about those that made me not want them. Some people compared them a prefer the m6. Of course sound is subjective but someone said those senna have muddy bass and that is a big no no for me. Most important thing though is fit. My ear canal isn't huge or small and these fit the bill.

Please do post a review on the M6 once you get them. I am going to hold off on buying the S4. Hopefully these are good and $20 seems fair to me.

Monster had a huge 50% off sale during Xmas, I missed it. Their cables are terrible for the price. Their headphones are decent but overpriced by double. Better than their cables though! One thing they are is comfortable. Muddy base again lol. Cheap components usually use too much bass to compensate for their inferior sound. See Bose.

I actually thought the turbines had good build quality (they're metal) but weigh and the in ear buds are pretty soft and dont hold too well. The sound wasn't anything special for sure.

Not to mention anybody who pays $150 for those is taking a big one in the bum.

Despite the audiophile post a while back refusing to touch anything that is remotely mainstream, they are generally regarded as some of the best earbuds for under $100ish. My buddy picked up the Monster Turbines but I didn't think they were as good and the fit was pretty terrible.

The i's also have the built-in mic, so that you can seamlessly use the phone. Well worth the extra $20, IMO.

I just got my Meelelectronics M6s and haven't listened to them much so I can't provide a detailed review. But here it goes for now.

I am comparing them to my Nuforce 7Ms, Sennheiser MX 880, and Alessandro MS1 (just for kicks).

First thoughts were wow, pretty nice, solid, thicker cable. It won't get as tangled as easy. When I first listened to them I was like, wow, for a $20 headphone? Pretty darn good. The seal is much better than my 7Ms so there was a lot more bass and it was considerably louder at the same volume.

Due to their unique shape, they fit very well in my ears using the medium inserts provided. They seem pretty comfortable. Microphonics were a pretty minimal, a lot less than my Shure E2Cs. I think I can exercise in these. I will try tonight.

Not much I can review so far since I just got them. I tested them with Jazz (Diana Krall), EDM (Knas - Swedish House Mafia), and Metal (Fade to Black - Metallica).

The bass line was pretty damn good with Knas on these headphones and not muddy.

The detail was nowhere close to my cans (Ms1s but that is to be expected) but pretty decent.

These retail $49.99 and are selling for $20.

My verdict: Great buy. Seriously great buy. I think these are better than the Nuforce 7Ms and my Shure E2Cs (other two IEMs, I have). I will workout tonight and see how they are in the gym.

The MX880s are earbuds so I don't think they compare much.

They also come with a few extra sets of tips for all different sizes, a zipper carrying case, and an adapter. These are probably the best value headphones I have ever tried on. My initial thoughts are if I paid $75 bucks for these, I wouldn't be disappointed. At $20, I'm pretty happy. These are supposed to get better with break-in if you follow that school of thought.
