Nah... that's not true. Insurance companies don't even ask to specify the color of the car and that info is not in the VIN either.

When I took the 3 in last week for service I TRIED to convince them to loan me any of the 3 or 4 M6s they had on the lot. I rationalized it as a service to them since the rotors were visibly rusting, I could go clean that off for them. the manager's special was a grey M6 convertible, slightly used, offered at $116K
