just got quoted for a CLA AMG for around 56K. oh man its tempting. but turns out they're also a year out or so for ordering and what not.

i had an 335xi with the jb4 tune. it was an amazing car that ran well till limp mode would hit. i loved the car......... but. just recently picked up my cla 45 amg and all i have to say is wow. this little rocket is amazing. when i get tired of what it can do i will look for a tune, but as for right now. it is an amazing little rocket

cla45 amg is a fwd drive car modified to be a awd car, the CLA is also always advertised as the "cheap" mercedes, sooo if you enjoy having the car thats advertised as cheap to the general public, fwd bias and really quite expensive go for it. Back seats are also pretty lame and from what i hear it's pretty boring to drive =/

Even SUV platforms going this route.

Too much stock boost so not much tuning capabilities. It's ugly from the back and it's fwd biased AWD system is bad no matter how you put it.

The rear is ugly, it's essentially FWD, and the "base model" that starts at 50k is severely lacking options/features. The nice AMG wheels, interior trim, steering wheel, seats, etc that you see in pictures are all additional. Yes that's right, AMG wheels are an option on the CLA45 AMG. lol So by the time the car is comfortably equipped your talking about a 65k car atleast. Oh and no manual? No thanks.

Thats a little harsh isnt it? Is Merc advertising it as the "cheap Mercedes"? Whats the 3 series? starts at 320 and ends at 335 . Cla starts at 250 and ends at AMG. I guess you have spent some good seat time to "know" how boring it is right? What an uninformed ignorant post.

Well the 3 series can actually be cheaper than even the base model cla, however the advertising campaign for the CLA has all been about look look it's so cheap you normal people can afford a MERCEDES! ZOMG! In actuality it isn't that cheap, however its about how the car is presented to the general public and merc spent big bucks making sure everyone knows this is the affordable (cheap) Mercedes that even peasants can afford. the main commerical with this car is "no need to sell your soul to buy a Mercedes, you normal people can afford one now!"

BMW does similar print ads up here every week advertising CHEAP lease rates. To each his own but I couldnt care any less what other people think. Most would only see the Merc emblem.........just like the roundel. If its a New 550 or a new 320 most people (not here) wouldnt have a clue what the difference is. They see th roundel. I bet the CLA 45 is a blast to drive but its too ugly for me. List is $50,000ish but the car on display at Toronto Auto show was about $73,000!!!!!!

I actually saw my first cla yesterday in traffic. I like how the front looks but rear of the car is somewhat weird.
End of the day it's peoples affordable imitation of the cls.
I'd rather buy a used cls before I buy a cla ( if i were to buy one)

2014 CLS 550 68k and up new.
Used 500/550 prolly around 25 and up depending on the year and mileage.

Actually 3er range starts at 316.
