I have a Yorkie, he used to be as cute as your dog... that lasted a couple months.
He's under 5 lbs now full grown and an Eagle or Hawk could easily carry him away. Think big rat or a rabbit. I have to be careful when I visit my parents because they have eagle nests surrounding their property.
We call it fishing for eagles when we take him out in their yard on a leash.
