Question Windows XP Pro Help Needed

is there a way to extend this and have a 3rd row?

Put your programs into different folders - I have ones for Applications, Utilities, Games, Accessories, etc - and you won't have that problem.

right click start menu, then click explore.

Hard drives with moving parts (non-ssd drives) are not very reliable in the long run, i.e. ~5-10 years. It is one of the most common failing parts in a system along with the PSU and optical drives.

Go to Start -> Settings -> Taskbar and Start Menu. Click on Start Menu tab and then click on Customize button. Click on Advanced button, and you should see an Explorer-type window showing your Start menu.

You can also just navigate to C:\Documents and Settings\yourname\Start Menu.

Then, add the folders you want, and then drag and drop the program shortcut links into them.

I don't have any external hard drives, so I wouldn't know.

Yep. A lot easier than the two ways I posted. Thanks.
